21일 대경경자청에 따르면 이번 방문은 작년의 대경경자청 경북지역 주요 투자유치 지구 시찰의후속 조치의 일환으로, 대구지역의 주력산업과 연계한 유치 지구를 안내하고, 지역 내 유망기업의 일본권 투자기회를 발굴하기 위해이루어졌다.

JETRO의 주요 일정은 대경경자청을 방문하여, 경제자유구역 사업지구 브리핑과 대구지역 주요 사업지구인 수성알파시티 시찰 및 입주기업 방문, 신서첨단의료지구의 케이메디허브를 방문하고, 로봇산업진흥원의 로봇기업을 방문하는 순서로 진행된다.

마에카와 나오유키 소장은 대경경자청 김병삼 청장을 만나 양국기업의 소통 강화 및 상호진출 지원 확대의 필요성에 대해 상호 인식하였으며, 향후 양 기관 협력 확대를 위한 방안을 모색한다.

김병삼 청장은 “향후 JETRO와 협력을 통한 일본기업을 지역에초청하여 대구 경북 투자환경 설명회 개최 등 상호발전적 모델을함께 만들어 양 기관간 투자유치 활성화를 극대화 하자”라며, “일본기업의 국내 진출을 위해 적극적으로 지원하겠다”라고 덧붙였다.
