1일 고령군에 따르면 올해 18회째를 맞은 고령 대가야축제는 유네스코 세계유산 등재와 발맞춰 “세계유산, 고령 지산동 고분군”이라는 주제로, 지산동고분군을 중심으로 대가야박물관 일원에서 개최됐다.

이번 대가야축제는 축제 첫날 대가야종묘대제와 고령군민의 끼를 한껏 발산한 군민화합한마당으로 축제의 분위기를 끌어올리며 마무리했다.

“세계유산, 고령 지산동 고분군”이라는 주제로 구성된 주제관에서는 세계유산에 등재되기까지의 추진 과정, 대가야 고분군의 세계유산적 가치를 모두가 알기 쉽고 재미있게 소개했다.

또한, 축제 둘째 날과 마지막 날 문화누리 야외공연장에서 열린 이번 축제의 대표 공연인 “100대 가야금 공연”은 100인의 가야금 연주자가 참가함으로써 웅장한 연출과 아름다운 선율로 대가야의 대표적인 문화자산인 가야금의 우수성을 알리고, 관광객에게 잊을 수 없는 감동을 선물했다.

축제 둘째 날에는 가야 문화권 합창 페스티벌과 창작뮤지컬 ‘도둑맞은 새’로 관광객들에게 다양한 볼거리를 선사하였고, 이어 펼쳐진 가야풍류 공연으로축제의 열기는 최고조에 이르렀으며. 더불어 공연 중간 펼쳐진 대가야별빛쇼(불꽃놀이)로 대가야의 밤하늘을 아름답게 수놓아, 많은 관광객의 탄성을 자아냈다.

이번 축제는 안전 관리를 최우선으로 하는 축제로 구성하여 지난 축제보다 한층 더 업그레이드된 축제를 보여주었으며, 복합문화공간과 이색 휴게공간 연출로 관광객들에게 신선함과 즐거움을 선물했다.
