【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈)가 '영덕캠퍼스’ 현판식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

지난 20일 영덕로하스수산식품지원센터에서 변창훈 총장과 김광열 영덕군수, 손덕수 영덕의회 의장 및 군의원, 윤인한 교육장 및 장학사, 황재철 경북도의회 예결산특별위원회 위원장, 김동기 경상북도 지방시대정책과장 등 관계자 30여명이 참석한 가운데 현판식이 열렸다.

이번 행사를 시작으로 영덕캠퍼스는 7월 해양웰니스산업분야 취창업 현장 교육과정을 운영하게 된다.

지난해 6월 대구한의대학교와 영덕군은지방대학 활성화 사업으로 대학특성화와 연계해 지역과 연계전략을 마련했고, 올해 2월 지역인재육성과 지역캠퍼스 설립 및 운영에 관한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이와 함께 2차에 걸친 정책협의회 개최를 통해 지역과 대학의 연계교육 강화를 위한 거점캠퍼스를 구축하게 됐다.

대구한의대학교는 2024년 글로컬30사업에 예비 지정되었는데 향후 영덕캠퍼스는 사업의 경북지역 거점 캠퍼스 3곳(청도, 영덕, 경산) 중 하나로 전통의학 실크로드, 수산식품, 치유관광 분야의 교육, 연구 및 관련 기업을 지원하는 역할을 수행할 예정이다.

지역 캠퍼스의 결실은 몽골, 우즈베키스탄 등의 해외 기관과 협력을 통해‘K-MEDI 실크로드’를 개척하게 된다.

아울러 경북의 K-U시티 프로젝트와 연계해 프로그램의 운영, 현장기반 정규 교육과정, 취창업 지원, 일학습 병행형 교육을 실시해 청년 정주인구 유입을 활성화 할 방침이다.

변창훈 총장은 “지방과 지방대학 소멸을 막기위한 글로컬 대학 사업, RISE체계, 경상북도 K-U시티 프로젝트 등 파격적인 정책을 통해 대학과 지자체의 보다 밀접한 협력관계를 통한 상생활동을 권장하고 있다”며 “오늘 개소하는‘대구한의대 영덕캠퍼스’가 지자체-대학 협력관계의 혁신성과 실현가능성을 높이기 위한 과정으로, 지방대학이 혁신을 통한 성장을 할 수 있는 시발점이 되길 기원하며, 지역의 우수인재 발굴과 상생활동에 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu University of Oriental Medicine has been preliminary designated for the Glocal 30 project in 2024, and the Yeongdeok Campus will be one of the three base campuses (Cheongdo, Yeongdeok, and Gyeongsan) in the Gyeongbuk region for the project, providing education in the fields of traditional medicine Silk Road, seafood, and healing tourism; It will play a role in supporting research and related companies.

The fruits of the local campus will be the pioneering of the ‘K-MEDI Silk Road’ through cooperation with overseas organizations such as Mongolia and Uzbekistan.
