지난 23일 낮 12시 경북대 교수회는 평의회를 통해 의대 정원 증원을 논의했다.

이와 함께 표결을 진행한 결과 찬성 11, 반대 26, 기권 1로 부결됐다. 관련 학칙 개정안은 정부의 의대 정원 증원 방침에 따라 의대 정원을 올해 110명에서 90명 늘어난 200명으로 하는 내용이다.

경북대 교수회는 “본부의 의대 증원 추진 과정, 학내 의견 수렴, 증원에 따른 인력 및 예산 확보 가능성, 의대 정원 증원이 타 학과에 미치는 영향, 의학교육평가원 인증 문제 등을 종합적으로 판단했다”고 전했다.
