군에 따르면 이날 헌혈운동은 저출산·고령화 사회로 인한 중증 수혈 환자 증가와 헌혈자 감소에 따라 혈액 수급상황이 더욱 악화된 상황에서 안정된 혈액 수급에 기여하고 공직사회에 사랑 나눔 실천 분위기를 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.

대한적십자사 대구·경북 혈액원과 함께한 이날 행사에는 공무원 및 유관기관 임직원·군민 등 20명이 자발적으로 참여했다.

군은 매년 분기별로 ‘사랑의 헌혈운동’을 실시하면서 지역사회를 위한 봉사와 생명 나눔을 실천해오고 있다.

윤경희 청송군수는 “혈액수급 안정화와 지역사회 헌혈 참여 문화 조성을 위해 공무원 및 군민분들의 많은 참여를 바란다.”며 “앞으로도 헌혈 인식개선 및 지역사회 헌혈 참여율 증진을 위해 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
