【브레이크뉴스 의성】이성현 기자=의성군(군수 김주수)은 지난 4일 스위스 하우프트빌-고트하우스와 상호 협력 및 발전을 도모하는‘정보교류 우호협력의향 협약’을 체결했다.

10일 의성군에 따르면 스위스 하우프트빌-고트하우스는 투르가우주의 80개 보통지방자치단체 중 하나로‘하우프트빌’과‘고트하우스’의 행정통합으로 탄생한 지역이다. 보통지방자치단체는 종합 지방자치기능을 수행하는 우리나라의 시·군·자치구에 해당한다.

이 지역은 현재 인구 수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 유아·청소년이 고령자보다 많고 1·2·3차 산업이 고루 분포하여 실질적 실업이 없는 건강한 연령 및 산업 구조를 가지고 있다.

이번 협약으로 의성군과 스위스 하우프트빌-고트하우스는 지방자치정책, 주민참여, 교육·학교, 환경·경제, 문화·스포츠·여가 분야의 정보를 지속적으로 상호 교류하게 된다. 의성군은 중국 함양시, 몽골 만달군에 이어 중부 유럽인 스위스와 세 번째 국제교류 협약을 체결하였다.

김주수 의성군수는 “주민들이 공동체에 대한 책임감을 가지고 스스로 지역의 문제를 해결하기 위해 협의하고 타협하는 문화가 정착된 스위스와의 교류를 통해 지역사회 운영 원리, 주민들의 사고방식 등을 학습하여 주민 주도의 변화와 혁신으로 지속가능한 행복 의성을 실현할 수 있도록 하겠다.”라고 말했다.

Uiseong-gun signed the third international exchange agreement with Switzerland in Central Europe, following Hamyang-si in China and Mandal-gun in Mongolia.
