손 군수는 민선 8기 2주년 정례조회 기념사를 통해 지난 2년의 군정성과와 향후 역점사업에 관해 설명하는 시간을 가졌다.

울진군 민선 8기 지난 2년의 성과로는 △울진 원자력수소 국가산업단지 예타면제 확정 △신한울 3․4호기 건설재개를 통한 지역경제 활성화 △교육발전 특구 선도지역 선정 △농업대전환 추진 △어촌지역 정주여건과 삶의 질 개선 △소유 시설의 효율적 운영을 위한 위탁제도 개선 △군민을 위한 안전 복지체계 마련 △군민 소통 기회 확대 △전략적 공모사업 대응으로 대규모 사업비 확보 등을 꼽았다.

이어 앞으로 2년은 울진군 도약의 본격적 시작임을 밝히며 인구 10만의 대한민국 수소에너지 중심도시로 성장하는 울진의 미래를 위한 역점 사업에 대해 설명했다.
