【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 한의과대학이 2024년도 하계 의료봉사단 발대식을 개최했다고 8일 밝혔다.

지난 5일 대구 수성캠퍼스 한의학관 대강당에서 열린 이번 행사는 한의과대학 학생회장의 팀 구성 및 봉사 현황 설명, 한의과대학 서부일 학장의 발대식사, 변준석 의무부총장의 격려사, 학생대표 선서식 순으로 진행됐다.

발대식 이후 의료봉사에 참여하는 학생들은 의미 있는 의료봉사의 실천을 위해 안전교육과 방제학, 침구학 등의 사전 교육을 받았다.

한의학과 지도교수와 진료지도한의사 28명, 학생 209명 등 총 7개 팀으로 구성된 의료봉사단은 8일부터 21일까지 전국 7개 지역에서 한방의료 수혜의 사각지대에 있는 농어촌 지역주민을 대상으로 봉사활동을 펼칠 예정이다.

의료봉사에 소요되는 한방의약품과 침·뜸·부항, 한약 엑기스 등 의료용품은 전액 대학에서 지원한다. 

한의과대학 서부일 학장은 “그동안 중단되었던 의료봉사가 교수, 한의사, 학생들의 참여와 협조아래 다시 시작되는데 감사드린다”며 “그동안 학교에서 배운 교육을 바탕으로 뜻 깊은 의료봉사가 되도록 노력해 달라”고 말했다.

변준석 의무부총장은 “보다 겸손하고 낮은 자세로 오시는 환자분들에게 정성을 다하여 치료를 할 때 그 이상의 감동을 느끼게 될 것이다”라며 학생들의 의료봉사를 격려했다.
