【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 동구청은 지역민들에게 친숙한 ‘불로고분군’이 소재한 대구 동구 불로동 노후주택이 점차 개선되고 있다고 5일 밝혔다.

동구청에 따르면 불로동은 전체 주택 중 20년 이상 된 건물이 68%를 차지하고 있어 주거환경 개선이 시급한 지역이었다.

이에 대구 동구는 2023년부터 불로동 도시재생뉴딜사업을 통해 불로동 일대 주거환경 개선에 나섰다.

사업은 불봉이 집수리 협동조합(이사장 김석남)이 맡아서 진행했다. 이들은 도시재생 사업 구역 내 주민을 대상으로 총 41가구를 선정해 방수, 창호, 도장, 대문, 옥외문, 단열공사, 지붕 공사 등을 했으며, 지난 7월 29일 불로동 도시재생현장지원센터에서 ‘불로동 노후주택 집수리지원사업’ 현판식을 개최하기도 했다.

대구 동구는 앞으로도 불봉이 집수리 협동조합을 통해 지속적으로 주거환경 개선을 추진할 계획이다.

윤석준 동구청장은 “불로동 노후주택 집수리지원사업을 통해 불로동 일대 쾌적한 주거환경 조성과 마을경관 개선으로 주민들의 삶의 질을 향상시킬 수 있는 기회가 될 수 있기를 기대한다.”고 말했다.

한편, 2013년 불봉이네 봉사단으로 시작한 불봉이 집수리 협동조합은 2020년 집수리 역량 강화 실습 교육을 통해 전문성을 키웠으며, 2021년 불로동 도시재생 뉴딜사업에 따라 집수리 사업을 체계적으로 추진하기 위해 불봉이 집수리 협동조합으로 발돋움했다.

이후 가스, 보일러, 전기, 건축 등 각 분야 전문가 20여 명이 함께하며 불로동 각종 시설 수리 및 유지보수 최일선에서 활동하고 있다. 지난 2023년에 ‘대한민국 주거복지문화대상’ 최우수상을 수상하기도 했다.

Dong-gu, Daegu plans to continue to improve the residential environment through the Bulbong-i House Repair Cooperative.

Dong-gu Mayor Yoon Seok-jun said, “We hope that the Bulo-dong Old House Repair Support Project will provide an opportunity to improve the quality of life for residents by creating a pleasant residential environment and improving the village landscape in the Bulo-dong area.”

Meanwhile, the Bulbongi House Repair Cooperative, which started as the Bulbongi Volunteer Group in 2013, has developed expertise through practical training to strengthen house repair capacity in 2020, and has grown into the Bulbongi House Repair Cooperative in order to systematically promote house repair projects in accordance with the Bulo-dong Urban Regeneration New Deal Project in 2021.

Since then, about 20 experts in various fields such as gas, boilers, electricity, and construction have been working together on the front lines of repairing and maintaining various facilities in Bulo-dong. In 2023, they also won the Grand Prize at the ‘Republic of Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards’.
