올해 처음으로 실시하는 ‘반려견 동물등록비 지원사업’은 고령군에 주소지를 둔 반려견 소유자는 누구나 신청 가능하며, 마리당 4만원, 최대 3마리까지 동물등록비를 지원받을 수 있다.

반려견과 함께 동물등록 대행기관인 대가야읍 소재의 라파동물병원에 내원하여 신청하면 바로 동물등록을 할 수 있고,배정물량 소진 시까지무료로동물등록이 가능하다.

또한, 마당개(대형견) 등의 사유로 반려견과 함께 동물병원 방문이 어렵고,마을별 등록대상 반려견이 5두 이상 경우,읍면사무소에 신청시 동물병원수의사가 직접 마을에방문하는“찾아가는 동물등록서비스”도 함께 실시할 예정이다.

아울러, 고령군은 2024년 동물등록 자진신고기간(8.5 ~ 9.30) 및 집중단속기간(10.1 ~ 10.31)을 운영 중에 있다. 2개월령 이상의 개는 동물등록이 법적 의무사항이며, 자진신고 기간 내에 동물등록을 하면 과태료가 면제된다.
