오는 20일 오후 2시 대구대 경산캠퍼스 성산홀(본관) 2층 대회의실에서 아버지 차민수 씨, 박순진 총장 등 본부 보직 교수, 생물교육과 교수 등이 참석한 가운데 명예졸업장 전달식이 개최된다.

행사는 사범대학 후배들을 위해 아르바이트로 모은 돈 600만 원을 장학금으로 기탁한 차수현 학생의 뜻을 기리고자 마련됐다.

이와 함께 장학금 전달식도 함께 열릴 예정이다. 대구대는 생물교육과 후배 6명에게 600만 원(1인당 100만 원)의 장학금을 전달한다.

아버지인 차민수 씨는 “우리 딸 수현이가 명예졸업장을 수여할 수 있도록 신경 써 주셔서 감사드린다”며 “4학년이 돼서 교생 실습을 나가는 것을 몹시도 기다렸던 수현이가 끝내 교사의 꿈을 이루진 못했지만, 명예졸업장을 받는 모습을 하늘에서 본다면 무척이나 기뻐하지 않을까 생각한다”고 말했다.

박순진 총장은 “대장암 투병 중에도 학업을 포기하지 않고 끊임없이 도전했던 그의 열정과 헌신은 모든 학생에게 큰 귀감이 되었고, 그의 용기와 강인함은 우리 모두에게 깊은 감동을 주었다”며 “비록 차수현 학생은 더 이상 우리 곁에 없지만, 교사의 꿈을 향한 그의 꿈과 열정은 오랫동안 기억될 것이다”고 말했다.
