‘국가유산 야행 사업’에 4년 연속 선정되었다고 20일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 국가유산청은‘우리 고장 국가유산 활용 사업’으로 국가유산 야행 사업, 전통산사 국가유산 활용사업, 고택·종갓집 활용 사업 등 세 분야에서 총 133건을 선정했다.

그 중 국가유산 야행 사업은 전국 총 47곳이 선정됐는데 경북에서는 영덕군 포함, 경주, 문경, 청도 등 4곳이 최종 결정됐다. 이로써 영덕군은 작년에 이어 4년 연속 국가유산 야행사업에 선정되는 쾌거를 이루었다.

작년 우천 중에도 1만여 명이 방문한 2023영덕문화재야행의 성과를 바탕으로 올해 새롭게 진행되는 2024영덕문화유산야행은‘영해1924, 그날 밤을 거닐다.’라는 부제로 10월 3일부터 5일까지 영덕군 영해면 옛 영해장터거리 근대역사문화공간 일원에서 개최된다.

영덕 문화유산 야행은 100년 전 번성했던 영해 거리를 복원, 영해 근대민속촌으로 조성하여 영덕군의 귀중한 근대역사문화유산의 가치를 재조명하고 지역민에게 문화 향유의 기회를 확대하는 사업이다. 올해도 여덟가지 색다른 밤 풍경, 8야(夜)를 테마로 22가지 프로그램이 사흘 밤 내내 펼쳐질 예정이다.

또한 행사 기간 중 옛 복장으로 근대역사문화공간을 안내할 군민 배우와 근대의상 퍼레이드 참가자, 예주카바레, 곡마단 등 무대 공연 참가팀을 공개 모집하여 영덕군민으로 구성하는 등 군민과 함께하는 야간 축제가 되도록 만반의 준비를 다하고 있다.

김광열 영덕군수는 “4년 연속 국가유산청 공모에 선정된 만큼 올해는 더욱 알찬 프로그램으로 사흘 밤을 채웠다.”며“관내 외 많은 분들이 찾아오셔서 영덕의 근대역사문화공간을 즐겨주셨으면 한다”는 바람과 함께“앞으로 이 문화유산야행 프로그램이 일회성 행사에 그치지 않고 지역의 문화, 관광, 경제 활성화를 함께 이끌어가는‘야간 특화 프로그램’으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 노력하겠다”는 다짐도 덧붙였다.

A total of 47 sites nationwide were selected for the National Heritage Night Tour Project, and 4 sites in Gyeongbuk, including Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongju, Mungyeong, and Cheongdo, were finally selected. With this, Yeongdeok-gun has achieved the feat of being selected for the National Heritage Night Tour Project for the 4th consecutive year since last year.

Based on the success of the 2023 Yeongdeok Cultural Heritage Night Walk last year, which attracted over 10,000 visitors despite the rain, the 2024 Yeongdeok Cultural Heritage Night Walk, which will be held this year, will be held from October 3 to 5 at the former Yeonghae Market Street Modern History and Culture Space in Yeonghae-myeon, Yeongdeok-gun, with the subtitle, ‘Yeonghae 1924, Strolling That Night.’

The Yeongdeok Cultural Heritage Night Walk is a project to restore the Yeonghae Street that flourished 100 years ago and create the Yeonghae Modern Folk Village, thereby reexamining the value of Yeongdeok-gun’s precious modern history and cultural heritage and expanding opportunities for local residents to enjoy culture. This year, 22 programs will be held for three nights with the theme of eight different night scenes, the 8 Nights.

In addition, we are making full preparations to make it a night festival with the residents of Yeongdeok-gun by publicly recruiting actors who will guide the modern history and culture space in old costumes during the event, participants in the modern costume parade, and stage performance teams such as the Yeju Cabaret and Circus Troupe, all of whom are Yeongdeok-gun residents.
