【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)이 대구초등학교 국제 바칼로레아(IB) PYP 월드스쿨 공식 인증 기념식을 개최했다고 2일 밝혔다.

이날 오전 9시 30분에 대구초 강당과 각 교실에서 열린 기념식에는 강은희 대구교육감, 중구남구 김기웅 국회의원, 대구시의회 임인환 의원, 류규하 중구청장, 대구의 IB 월드스쿨 교장단, 학부모 등이 참석했다.

대구초는 지난 2021년 3월 기초학교를 시작으로 2022년 관심학교, 2023년 3월 후보학교에 진입한 후, 1년 6개월여 만인 지난 8월에 대구의 초등학교 중 11번째 IB PYP 월드스쿨로 공식 지정되었다.

강은희 교육감은 “대구초의 IB 월드스쿨 공식 인증을 위해 노력해온 교직원들에게 감사와 축하의 말을 전한다”며 “우리교육청은 지금까지의 성과에 만족하거나 자만하지 않고 발전된 IB 2.0시대로 도약할 수 있도록 관련 정책을 내실 있게 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

 The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) announced on the 2nd that it held an official certification ceremony for Daegu Elementary School as an International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP World School.

Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, “I would like to express my gratitude and congratulations to the faculty and staff who have worked hard to obtain Daegu Elementary School’s official IB World School certification,” and added, “Our Office of Education will not be satisfied with or complacent about our achievements to date, and will substantively pursue related policies so that we can leap forward into the advanced IB 2.0 era.”
