【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=경북문화재단이 주최하고 이언화무용단과 영천시민회관이 공동 주관하는 2024년 경북문화재단 공연장상주단체지원사업 두 번째 창작공연 ‘최무선의 불꽃으로–진포대첩’이 경상북도의 후원과 영천시의 협력으로 오는 19일 오후 7시 영천시민회관에서 개최된다.

14일 영천시에 따르면 이번 공연의 입장료는 무료이고, 선착순 입장이며, 만 7세 이상이면 누구나 관람할 수 있다.

이번 작품은 2025년 최무선 장군 탄생 700주년을 기념해 기획된 특별한 창작공연이다. 고려 말기, 화약을 이용한 무기 개발로 진포대첩에서 승리를 이끈 최무선 장군의 위대한 업적을 예술적으로 형상화해 관객들에게 선보일 예정이다.

공연 프로그램은 △1장 최무선의 꿈: 화약과 불꽃을 향한 최무선의 혁신적인 꿈을 담은 무대 △2장 집념의 화약: 어려움을 극복하고 화약 개발에 성공한 최무선의 집념을 표현 △3장 불꽃으로 물들이다: 불꽃이 피어나는 순간, 화약 기술의 완성을 예술로 표현 △4장 진포대첩: 최무선의 화약 기술이 빛난 고려의 승리, 진포대첩의 역사적 순간을 그린 무대로 구성돼 있어, 단순한 무용을 넘어 최무선 장군의 혁신적인 정신과 업적을 되새기고 그의 불꽃 같은 인생을 예술로 승화해 예술과 역사가 하나 되는 특별한 시간이 될 예정이다.

최기문 영천시장은 “이번 공연을 통해 다양한 연령층의 관객들이 문화유산을 더욱 깊이 이해하고, 잊지 못할 역사의 한 페이지가 어떻게 예술로 승화되는지 직접 체험할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

The second creative performance of the 2024 Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation Performance Hall Resident Group Support Project, 'Choi Mu-seon's Flame - Jinpo Battle', hosted by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation and co-hosted by the Lee Eun-hwa Dance Company and Yeongcheon Citizens' Hall, will be held at Yeongcheon Citizens' Hall at 7 PM on the 19th with the support of Gyeongsangbuk-do and the cooperation of Yeongcheon City.

This work is a special creative performance planned to commemorate the 700th anniversary of General Choi Mu-seon's birth in 2025. It will artistically portray the great achievements of General Choi Mu-seon, who led the victory in the Battle of Jinpo by developing weapons using gunpowder in the late Goryeo Dynasty, and present them to the audience.

The performance program consists of △Chapter 1 Choi Mu-seon’s Dream: A stage that contains Choi Mu-seon’s innovative dream toward gunpowder and fireworks △Chapter 2 Gunpowder of Obsession: Expressing Choi Mu-seon’s obsession in overcoming difficulties and succeeding in developing gunpowder △Chapter 3 Dying with Fireworks: The moment when fireworks bloom, expressing the perfection of gunpowder technology as art △Chapter 4 Battle of Jinpo: A stage depicting the historical moment of the Battle of Jinpo, Goryeo’s victory where Choi Mu-seon’s gunpowder technology shined. It is expected to be a special time where art and history become one by going beyond simple dance and reminiscing about General Choi Mu-seon’s innovative spirit and achievements and sublimating his fiery life into art.

Mayor Choi Ki-moon of Yeongcheon said, “Through this performance, I hope that audiences of various ages will be able to understand cultural heritage more deeply and experience firsthand how an unforgettable page of history is sublimated into art.”
