【브레이크뉴스 의성】이성현 기자=의성군(군수 김주수)은 재포항 의성향우회(회장 김중기)와 함께 지난 10월 26일 포항종합운동장에서‘2024 의성군 우수 농·특산품 포항시 직거래장터’를 개최했다고 29일 밝혔다.

51개 농가 및 업체가 참여해 의성마늘, 쌀, 사과, 샤인머스켓, 가지, 버섯, 잡곡, 고춧가루 등의 농산물과 의성마늘소·포크의 축산물, 그 외 흑마늘, 장류, 장아찌, 참기름, 누룽지의 가공식품 등 80여가지 품목을 선보이며, 직거래를 통해 시중가보다 10~20% 저렴한 가격으로 판매했다.

또한 소비자들이 직거래장터 이후에도 의성장날 쇼핑몰을 통해 군 농특산물을 꾸준히 찾을 수 있도록 리플렛과 할인쿠폰을 배부하여 신규고객 확보 및 지역경제 활성화도 함께 도모했다.

이번 직거래 행사는 재포항의성향우회에서 주관하며 의성사랑상품권을 통해 고향 농산물 구매운동에 적극 동참하고 지역 농가소득 증대와 의성군 브랜드 이미지 제고에 기여했다.

김주수 의성군수는 “의성군의 지역 농가를 위해 재포항 의성향우회장을 비롯한 향우회원들이 도농상생의 장을 마련해주어서 고맙게 생각한다”라며 “이번 직거래장터를 통해 우리군의 우수 농·특산품을 포항 소비자들에게 널리 알릴 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 한다”라고 밝혔다.
