【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)은 직원과 대학생 등 30여 명으로 글로벌 봉사단이 지난 2일 체코로 출국했다고 4일 밝혔다.

한수원에 따르면 체코 글로벌 봉사단 파견은 올해 6월에 이어 2번째이며, 7월 우선협상대상자 선정 이후 처음이다. 한수원은 우선협상대상자에 선정됐지만 진심을 다해 체코와 소통을 지속하겠다는 의지를 담아 이번에 글로벌 봉사단을 파견을 결정했다.

봉사단은 오는 10일까지 신규 원전 건설 예정지인 두코바니 인근 트레비치 시(市) 초중등학교, 올로모우츠 시(市)의 팔라츠키 대학교 및 체코 최고의 대학인 까를대학교를 찾아 한국과 체코 청년들의 문화이해에 대한 워크숍을 개최한다.

또한 문화 교류 행사 등 다양한 활동을 펼칠 예정이다. 특히프라하 기술대학에서는 한국 원자력 발전의 현황 및 발전 과정 등을 주제로 경희대학교 정범진 교수 초빙강의를 진행한다.

아울러 한수원이 지속적으로 후원하고 있는 트레비치 아이스하키팀은 물론, 트레비치에 연고를 두고 있는 유소년축구단에도 박천중 한수원 상생협력처장이 직접 찾아가 후원금을 전달할 예정이다.

황주호 한수원 사장은 “한수원은 그동안 체코 현지 지역 주민들과 다양하게 소통하며 지역 신뢰 확보를 위해 노력해 왔다”며, “우선협상대상자로 선정되었다고 해서 끝이 아니라, 더욱 열심히 진심 어린 소통과 지원을 이어나갈 예정이다”라고 밝혔다.

 Hanwha Solutions Dispatches Global Volunteer Group to Czech Republic

In addition, Park Cheon-jung, the head of the Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Cooperative Office, will personally visit the Trebic ice hockey team, which KHNP has been continuously sponsoring, as well as the Trebic youth soccer team, to deliver sponsorship money.

Hwang Ju-ho, the president of KHNP, said, “KHNP has been communicating with local residents in various ways to secure trust in the region,” and added, “It is not the end just because we have been selected as the preferred negotiating partner. We will continue to communicate and support with sincerity even more diligently.”
