6일 경북도에 따르면‘대한민국 지방시대 엑스포’는 2004년부터 2021년까지 개최된 균형발전박람회와 지방자치박람회를 통합한 국내 최대 규모 박람회다.

이번 엑스포는 ‘함께 여는 지방시대 활짝 웃는 대한민국’이라는 슬로건을 내걸고 국가균형발전 비전과 정책을 논의하고 균형발전 성과와 지역 혁신 사례를 공유한다.

경북도는 ‘지방시대 대전환 경북 ON!’을 주제로 한 홍보관을 열고 지방 정주민 시대 선도모델 K-U시티와 저출생 정책, K-농업 대전환, 대구경북행정통합 등 희망찬 경북 미래상을 표현했다.

홍보관은 테마별로 독특하고 화려한 첨단 전시기법으로 관람객의 주목을 받는 등다양한 볼거리를 제공하고, ‘문경살이’와 ‘안동살이’에성공한 청년이 자체 개발한 수제 맥주를 선보였다.

또한, 2월부터 저출생과 전쟁을 선포한 경상북도의 결혼-출산-주거-돌봄까지 전주기에 대응하는 저출생 필승 실행계획도 관람객을 상대로 소개했다.

특히 지역 돌봄공동체에서 안전하고 편안하게 아이들을 돌보는 ‘융합 돌봄 특구’는 모션그래픽으로 표현했으며, 저출생, 인구소멸 등 지방의 문제를 경북이 주도적으로 대책을 마련하고 보호한다는 의미를 담은 천정의 우산은 관람객들의 탄성을자아냈다.

이철우 도지사는 “지방시대 엑스포는 정부의 지역 균형발전 의지를표출하는 대국민 약속의 장이자, 진정한 지방시대를 여는 시작”이라며, “미래는 국가균형발전이 생존의 문제이자 시대적 과제라며 경북도는모든 역량을 모아 수도권 일극 체제 문제를 반드시 타파하고 지방시대를 이끌어가는 선도적 역할을 하겠다”고 말했다.
