이날 시험장 입구에서는 수험생들의 수능 대박을 기원하는 학교 선생님들과 후배들의 응원이 이어졌으며, 청소년참여기구(참여위원·운영위원회) 등 자원봉사자들은 따뜻한 차와 손난로 등을 제공해 추운 날씨에 긴장한 수험생의 손과 마음을 녹였다.

최기문 영천시장은 “오랜 기간 열심히 노력한 만큼 본인의 실력을 마음껏 펼치길 바라며, 수험생과 학부모님들 모두 좋은 결과 있기를 바란다”고 응원과 격려의 말을 전했다. 또한 매년 추운 날씨에도 묵묵히 수험생들을 응원하기 위해 힘쓰는 자원봉사자들에게도 감사의 마음을 전달했다.

한편 2025학년도 대학수학능력시험에는 전국 85개 시험지구 1,282개 시험장에서 수험생 522,670명이 응시했고, 영천시에서는 578명의 수험생이 선화여자고등학교, 영천고등학교 2개 시험장에서 시험에 응시했다.
