군은 11월부터 취수장, 정수장, 가압장, 배수지, 고지대, 취약시설 등 상수도시설물의 가동 상태를 일제 점검하고 한파에 대비하여 시설 자재를 사전구입 및 비치해 누수로 인한 주민 불편이 없도록 상시유지하고 상수도의 유수율 제고 등 수원보호를 위해 24시간 상시 비상대책반을 운영하고 있다.

급수지원으로는 각종 비상에 대비하여 비상급수차량 8톤 및 3톤이 대기중이며,관내 유관기관[울진소방서(비상급수지원), 한국전력공사(가압권역 단전 감시)등]과협의, 안정적인 수도공급을 위해 지속 노력하고 있다.

맑은물사업소는 동파방지 활동의 일환으로 계량기보호함, 옥내부동전 등의 가정시설물에 비닐과 헌옷 등으로 보온하고, 장시간 집을 비우는 경우 관내 동파가 발생하지 않도록 동파방지(보온)등을 철저하게 하도록 읍면사무소와 이장협의회를 통해 홍보중으로 주민들의 동파방지를 위한 관심을 독려하고 있다.

손병복 울진군수는 “관로 동파 등에 따른 일시적 단수가 발생할 수 있으나, 신속한복구조치를 통해 군민의 불편을 최소화 하도록 운영중이니, 불가피한 단수와 긴급(누수 등)상황이 발생하는 경우 등 적극적인 신고와 협조를 당부드린다”라고 전했다.
