올해 영천시 스타기업은 시 소재 중소기업 9개사가 지원했으며, 기업 성장성, 기술력, 지역기여도, CEO 경영마인드, 근로복지 및 근로환경 등을 평가해 농업회사법인 ㈜천연식품(대표 임경만), 주식회사 무계바이오 농업회사법인(대표 유명하), ㈜비케이엠솔(대표 최원수), 해뜨락영농조합법인(대표 정희도) 4개사를 선정했다.

농업회사법인 ㈜천연식품은 임경만 대표가 대한민국 전통식품명인으로 농림축산식품부로부터 지정된 바 있다. 또한 올해 11월에는 중소벤처기업부가 지정하는 명문장수기업으로 경북도 내 최초로 지정된 기업으로 영천시를 대표하는 식품기업이다.

주식회사 무계바이오 농업회사법인은 축분자원을 활용한 자원재활용과 지속적인 R&D개발을 통해 축분유기질 비료를 생산하는 기업이다. 국내를 넘어 해외시장을 개척 중이며, 2025년까지 수출 500만불을 목표로 뛰고 있다.

㈜비케이엠솔은 초고합금 제품을 생산 방위산업 및 제철, 플랜트 제품 생산 기업으로 포스코, 현대제철 등 국내 대형철강사와 조선사에 납품하고 있다. 향후 분말 및 선재에 대한 연구개발을 통해 동남아, 유럽, 미주 시장으로 확장하여 앞으로의 성장이 더 기대되는 기업이다.

해뜨락영농조합법인은 경북도 내 다섯손가락 안에 드는 두부 제조 식품기업으로 2025년 신제품개발, 신규공장 건설, 생산설비 확장을 통해 경북을 넘어 대한민국 최고의 두부 제조 식품기업을 목표하는 기업이다.

2024년 영천시 스타기업으로 선정된 4개 기업은 스타기업 현판 수여 및 영천시 지원사업에 우대 혜택을 제공한다. 중소기업 운전자금 이차보전 융자금 최대 6억 원 및 휴식기 면제, 스타기업 육성지원사업 참여를 통한 맞춤형 지원의 대상이 되며, 각종 기업지원 사업 신청 시 가산점을 부여받을 뿐만 아니라 지방 세무조사도 3년간 면제되는 혜택이 주어진다.

최기문 시장은 “올해 선정된 스타기업은 분야별 우리 시의 대표기업이다”라며, “영천시는 ‘스타기업’이 기술력과 성장역량을 제고할 수 있도록 기업별 맞춤형 지원사업을 통해 강소기업으로 육성하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Agricultural Corporation Natural Food Co., Ltd. CEO Lim Gyeong-man was designated as a traditional food master of the Republic of Korea by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. They will be eligible for customized support through secondary collateral loans for small and medium-sized enterprises operating funds of up to 600 million won and exemption from break periods, and participation in Star Company Fostering Support Projects. In addition to receiving additional points when applying for various corporate support projects, they will also be exempted from local tax investigations for three years.

Mayor Choi Ki-moon said, “The Star Companies selected this year are representative companies in each field in our city,” and added, “Yeongcheon City will foster ‘Star Companies’ into strong small and medium-sized enterprises through customized support projects for each company so that they can improve their technological prowess and growth capacity.”
