【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=영천시보건소(소장 박선희)는 지난 3일 안동 그랜드호텔에서 열린 2024년 경상북도 아토피·천식 예방관리사업 성과대회에서 최우수 기관으로 선정됐다고 4일 밝혔다.

이번 성과대회는 25개 시·군 보건소를 대상으로 아토피·천식 예방관리사업 평가를 통한 표준화 체계를 마련하고, 우수사례 발굴 및 공유를 통한 사업 활성화 도모를 위해 마련됐다.

영천시보건소는 지역 내 34개의 안심 학교를 운영하고 있으며, 어린이의 눈높이에 맞춘 막대인형극, 체험형 교육, 안심 학교와 자체 교육 영상을 통한 연계 학습 모니터링, 자조모임 활동, 비대면 교육 및 홍보, 경로당 노인 대상 천식예방 역할극 교육, 취약계층 대상 교육 및 홍보를 진행하는 등 지역주민 건강증진과 예방관리 환경 조성에 기여한 공을 크게 인정받았다.

이와 함께 올해 아토피·천식 예방관리사업의 일환으로 시행된 그림일기 공모전 부문 7개 어린이집에서 장려와 입선을 수상했고, 포스터 부문 3개 초등학교에서 우수와 입선을 수상했으며, UCC 부문에서도 2개 어린이집에서 수상의 영광을 안았다. 총 17명의 수상자가 경상북도 아토피천식교육정보센터장상과 경상북도 의사회장상을 각각 수상했다.

박선희 보건소장은 “아토피·천식은 사회경제적 성장과 더불어 증가하고 지속적인 치료와 관리가 필요한 질환인 만큼 대상자별 맞춤형 교육과 다양한 프로그램을 제공해 알레르기질환 청정지역으로 거듭나기 위해 앞으로도 아낌없는 노력과 지원을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Yeongcheon City Health Center operates 34 safe schools in the region, and was greatly recognized for its contribution to promoting the health of local residents and creating a preventive and management environment by conducting stick puppet shows, experiential education, linked learning monitoring through safe schools and self-educational videos, self-help group activities, non-face-to-face education and promotion, asthma prevention role-play education for the elderly at senior centers, and education and promotion for vulnerable groups.

In addition, as part of the atopic dermatitis and asthma prevention and management project this year, 7 kindergartens received encouragement and honorable mentions in the picture diary contest, 3 elementary schools received excellence and honorable mentions in the poster category, and 2 kindergartens also received honorable mentions in the UCC category. A total of 17 winners received the Gyeongsangbuk-do Atopic Asthma Education Information Center Director Award and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Medical Association Chairman Award, respectively.

Park Seon-hee, Director of the Health Center, said, “Atopic dermatitis and asthma are diseases that increase with socioeconomic growth and require continuous treatment and management, so we will continue to spare no effort and support to become a region free of allergic diseases by providing customized education and various programs for each target group.”
