9일 울진군(군수 손병복)에 따르면 군은 협회와 함께공인인증 검증 조건에 맞추어 시설물 보완공사 등 시설관리에 최선을 다한결과 공인 경기장으로 인증받는 성과를 거두었으며,이로써㈔대한파크골프협회에서 주관하는 전국단위 대회개최 자격요건에 충족하게 됐다.

이번 공인인증은 울진파크골프장이 시설적, 운영적 우수성을 인정받은 결과로공인인증을 받기 위해서는 기본시설, 부대시설, 시설 용품의 공인 규격 부합 여부와 안전성 등을 종합적으로 평가하는 까다로운 절차를 거치며, 울진파크골프장이 모든 기준을 충족하여 안전하고 쾌적한 환경을 제공하는시설로 인정받게 된 것이다.

손병복 울진군수는 “이번 공인인증은 울진파크골프장이 스포츠 시설로서우수성을 인정받은 결과로, 이를 계기로 파크골프 애호가들을 비롯한 스포츠관광객들이 울진을 더 많이 찾게 되길 기대한다”라며 “전국대회 유치를 준비하며 울진을 동해안 지역의 대표적인 파크골프 명소로 발전시켜 나가겠다”라고 말했다.

한편 군은, 초미세먼지가 가장 낮아 맑은 공기와 청정한 자연을 배경으로 운동하기 좋은 체육인프라 조성에 박차를 가하여 체육르네상스를 열어가기위한 스포츠 마케팅을 적극 펼쳐나가고 있다.
