자동차세 연납은 납세자의 신청에 따라 1월에 연납할 시 2월부터 12월에 해당하는 세액의 5%를 공제받을 수 있는 제도이다. 연납은 매년 3월, 6월, 9월에도 신청할 수 있으나 1월에 신청하여야 가장 큰 절감 혜택을 볼 수 있다.

문경시는 전년도에 자동차세를 연납한 납세자들에게는 별도의 신청이 없는 경우에도 10일 연납 고지서를 일괄 발송하였다.

연납은 시청 세정과 및 각 읍면동 행정복지센터에서 전화 또는 방문하여 신청 가능하며 인터넷을 이용한 위택스를 통하여 16일부터 신고·납부 할 수도 있다.

특히, 이번 자동차세 연납 고지서는 납부금액·납부기한·가상계좌 등 주요내용을 중앙에 큰 글씨로 배치하여 고령자도 쉽게 알아볼 수 있도록 개선하였다.

김상화 세정과장은 “이번 연납 고지서 발송으로 시민들에게 납세 편의 및 세제 혜택을 제공하여 시민들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되었으면 좋겠다”라고 했다.
