시는 케이블카 및 하늘길 조성공사, 문경타워 건립, 문경새재 야간경관 조명 설치, 돌리네습지 사계절 꽃단지 조성 등 신규 관광 콘텐츠 개발에도 본격적으로 속도를 낼 예정이다.

또한, 11억원 규모의 기업특례보증 및 소상공인·중소기업 이차보전금 지원 등도 추진하며, 집행목적·장소·금액 등이 예측가능한 경우 지출할 수 있는 개산급을 활용한 ‘착한 선결제’제도를 통해 침체된 지역경제를 회복하여, 지역소상공인들이 직접적으로 피부에 와닿을 수 있도록 노력할 예정이다.
