【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박영재 기자=영덕군보건소는 효율적이고 안정적인 방역소독 체계를 구축을 위해 ‘방역소독 관리센터’를 준공하고 운영에 들어갔다고 31일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 방역소독 관리센터는 지상 1층 연면적 94㎡ 규모로 군비 7,500만 원이 투입돼 작년 8월 기본설계 용역과 실시설계를 마치고 같은 해 11월 착공해 12월에 준공됐다.

시설은 유충 구제제, 살충제, 살균제 등 방역 약품을 보관하는 약품 창고, 방역소독 기계장비를 보관하고 수리할 수 있는 수리 공간, 방역 요원이 쉴 수 있는 휴게 공간으로 구성돼 있다.

영덕군보건소는 이를 통해 전염병 발생 시 선제적으로 대응하고 읍·면의 방역소독 사업을 효과적으로 지원하게 되며, 방역소독 기계장비 수리나 방역약품 적시 배부 등 신속하고 효과적인 방역과 전염병 예방에 활용하게 된다.

공재용 영덕군보건소장은 “방역소독 관리센터 신축은 전염병에 대응해 지역사회와 군민들의 건강을 지키는 중요한 거점이 될 것”이라며, “앞으로도 지속적인 관리와 유지보수로 방역 대응 체계를 강화해 나갈 것”이라고 전했다.
