【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도가 2025년 APEC 고위관리회의를 적극적으로 지원해 주고 이끌어갈 자원봉사자 202명을 최종 선발했다.

경북도에 따르면 지난 24일 선발한 자원봉사자들은, 2025년 APEC 정상회의 개최국에서 열리는첫 사전 회의이며 APEC 정상회의 주요 의제에 관한 실질적인 협의와 결정을이끄는 고위관리회의(APEC SOM1)에서 활동한다.

APEC SOM1 자원봉사자들은 입출국지원, 수송, 숙소, 관광, 회의장 등 5개 분야에서 한국을 찾는 세계 대표단을 환대하며 한국에서의아름다운 추억을 연출할 계획이다.

앞서 3주간 진행한 APEC SOM1 자원봉사 모집에는 전국에서 972명의 지원자가 모집에 응시해 APEC에 대한 국민적 관심을확인했고, 1차 서류 면접과 2차 대면 면접을 통해 202명의 우수한 인력이 자원봉사팀으로 합류했다.

최종 선발된 202명은 ▴‘남성’64명(31%), ‘여성’138명(69%), ▴‘내국인’179명(88%), ‘외국인’23명(12%) ▴‘학생’125명(62%),‘일반인’ 77명(38%) ▴‘경주시민’61명(30%), ‘경주 이외’141명(70%)으로 구성됐다.

20대 자원봉사자가 149명으로 다수(73.7%)를 차지했고 60세 이상 시니어도 19명(10%)이 합격해 전 세대를 아우르는 정예 요원으로 APEC SOM1 자원봉사팀을 꾸렸다.

특히 미국·중국·베트남 등 23명의 외국인이 자원봉사자로 선발돼APEC SOM1을 찾는 대표단과 원활히 소통하고 경북 경주의 모든 순간을 함께 채워나간다.

이번에 선발된 202명의 자원봉사자는 2월20일 기본소양 교육 및 현장실습 교육을 거쳐 2월 22일부터 3월 10일까지 현장에서 APEC SOM1의 든든한 지원군으로 활약한다.

김상철 APEC 준비지원단장은 “APEC SOM1 자원봉사자 모집에 전국의 수많은 인재가 지원해 주셔서 감사하다”며 “이번에 선발된 자원봉사자분들과 함께 역대 가장 성공적인 APEC SOM1이 될 수 있도록최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

In particular, 23 foreigners from the US, China, Vietnam, etc. were selected as volunteers to communicate smoothly with the delegation visiting APEC SOM1 and fill every moment of Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk.

The 202 volunteers selected this time will undergo basic education and field training on February 20, and will serve as a strong support force for APEC SOM1 on site from February 22 to March 10.
