【브레이크뉴스 포항】진예솔 기자=포항시의회 일부 의원들의 대형건설사들을 상대로 한 ‘일감수주’ 청탁이 도를 넘어서고 있다는 지적이다. 지역 시의원들의 부탁이다 보니 이러지도 저러지도 못하는 난감한 실정이다. 

특히, 시의원 이라는 우월적 지위를 이용해 담당 공무원에게 수주청탁을 하는 경우도 빈번한 것으로 파악됐다. 상당수 공무원들은 이같은 청탁을 압박으로 받아들이면서 행정권한을 침해한다는 여론이 비등하다. 

현재 포항지역에서 아파트를 짓고 있는 대형건설사들은 북구양학동의 자이에서턴 아파트와 우현동 한신아파트, 환호동 힐스테이트, 상생공원지역의 힐스테이트와 더샵, 흥해지역의 LH사 등이다. 

취재결과 북구지역의 A 시의원은 B사에 전화를 걸어 C사에 골조공사를 줄 것을 종용했다. B사는 이미 이 공사를 다른 업체와의 계약을 염두에 두고 있었지만 고민이 많다고 하소연했다.

또 D의원은 E사 현장소장에게 특정 용역업체를 들먹이며 도와주라는 부탁을 했다. 이후 실제이 회사는 수십명의 인원이 실제로 현장에 투입된 것으로 전해졌다.

F의원은 G사에 자신의 아들과 연관이 있는 외지회사인 H사를 소개하며 토목공사 수주를 청탁하는등 시의원들의 이탈이 도를 넘어서고 있다.

이에대해 주민I씨(대이동. 57)는 “지난해 포항시의회가 국민권익위원회가 발표한 청렴도 평가에서 5등급을 받으면서 2년연속 최하위 불명예를 기록한데는 그만한 이유가 있었을 것”이라며 “그럼에도 시의원들의 이권개입이 여전하다는 것은 시민은 안중에도 없는 안하무인 격인 포항시 의회 의원들의 모습”이라고 비판했다.
