【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 ‘급식업무 단기 대체인력 지원 시스템’을 연장 운영한다고 7일 밝혔다.

급식업무 공백 최소화를 위해 운영 중인 시스템은 불가피하게 급식 담당 교사와 조리 종사자의 공백이 발생했을 때 신속한 대체인력을 지원해 안정적인 급식 운영을 돕는 제도다.

지난해부터 4개 권역의 과대학교와 도 교육청 내에 영양교사를 추가 배치해 운영한 결과, 업무 만족도 조사에서 93.5%의 긍정적인 평가를 받았다.

특히 대체인력 지원 신청 절차를 간소화하기 위해 홈페이지 내 ‘업무지원 신청 게시판’을 개설, 당일 답글을 통해 지원을 확정하는 방식을 도입했다.

이와 같은 신속 대응 시스템은 현장의 업무 부담을 줄이는 데 큰 역할을 했으며, 2024학년도 적극 행정 우수 사례로도 선정됐다.

경산의 한 영양교사는 “급식업무 종사자들은 대체인력을 구하기 어려워 몸이 아파도 근무하는 경우가 많았다”며 “지난해 결혼으로 특별 휴가를 신청했을 때 업무지원 교사가 배치돼 마음 편히 휴가를 보낼 수 있었다”고 말했다.

임종식 교육감은 “학교 급식 업무가 원활하게 운영될 수 있도록 대체 전담 인력을 추가 배치하고, 신속한 지원 체계를 유지해 나가겠다”며 “앞으로도 현장 의견을 반영한 더욱 실효성 있는 정책을 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
