【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교 사범대학(학장 백상수)이 지난 2월 3일 필리핀 안티케대학교에서 열린 개회식을 시작으로 해외 교육 실습을 통한 글로벌 교육 교류를 확대해 나가고 있다.

2011년에 처음 시작된 해외 학교현장실습은 코로나 시기에 잠시 중단되었다가 필리핀 안티케대학교(University of Antique)와의 협력을 바탕으로 작년에 재개됐다.

다양한 전공의 학생 5명이 참가한 이번 프로그램에서 참가자 중 3명은 지난해 8월 교육봉사활동을 통해 이미 현지를 경험한 바 있으며, 당시 만난 학생 및 현지 동료 예비교사와의 좋은 기억이 다시 안티케를 찾게 된 계기가 됐다.

개회식에서 대표로 소감을 발표한 대구대 이은서 학생(역사교육과 3학년)은 "지난해 교육봉사에 참여하면서 교육이 학생들에게 얼마나 큰 변화를 가져올 수 있는지 깨달았다"며 "이번 실습을 통해 더욱 깊이 배우고 의미 있는 경험을 쌓고 싶다"고 말했다.

백상수 대구대 사범대학장은 "이번 실습이 단순한 경험을 넘어서 다양한 문화를 이해하고 교육자로서의 시야를 넓히는 기회가 되길 바란다"며, "대구대에서 배운 역량을 현지에서 마음껏 펼치는 한편, 현지 교사들과 동료 교생들로부터도 많은 것을 배우길 기대한다"고 전했다.

한편, 대구대 사범대학은 2011년부터 필리핀 안티케 지역에서 해외 교육봉사 및 학교현장실습을 지속적으로 이어오며 글로벌 교육 협력을 강화하고 있다. 이번 실습은 오는 2월 28일까지 진행되며, 예비 교사들의 국제적 경험을 쌓고 양국 간 교육 협력을 더욱 공고히 하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대된다.

 Daegu University College of Education Conducts Overseas School Field Training at University of Antique in the Philippines

Daegu University College of Education (Dean Baek Sang-soo) has been expanding global educational exchanges through overseas educational field training since the opening ceremony held at University of Antique in the Philippines on February 3.

The overseas school field training, which began in 2011, was temporarily suspended due to COVID-19, but resumed last year based on cooperation with University of Antique in the Philippines.

In this program, in which five students from various majors participated, three of the participants had already experienced the local area through educational volunteer work in August of last year, and the good memories they had with students and local prospective teachers at that time became the impetus for them to visit Antique again.

Daegu University student Lee Eun-seo (3rd year, Department of History Education), who gave her thoughts as a representative at the opening ceremony, said, “While participating in educational volunteer work last year, I realized how much education can change students,” and “I want to learn more deeply and gain meaningful experiences through this field training.”

Baek Sang-soo, Dean of Daegu University's College of Education, said, "I hope that this internship will be an opportunity to understand various cultures and broaden my perspective as an educator beyond a simple experience," and added, "I hope that I can fully demonstrate the capabilities I learned at Daegu University while learning a lot from local teachers and fellow students."

Meanwhile, Daegu University's College of Education has been continuously strengthening global educational cooperation by conducting overseas educational service and school field training in the Antique region of the Philippines since 2011. This internship will be held until February 28, and is expected to be an opportunity for prospective teachers to gain international experience and further solidify educational cooperation between the two countries.
