【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 지난 11일 울진군 후포마리나 클럽하우스(회의실)에서 후포마리나 활성화 및 해양레저산업 발전을 위한 협약을 체결했다고 12일 밝혔다.

이날 회의에는 박세은 울진군 부군수를 비롯해 정상원 경상북도 해양수산국장, 황석수 울진교육지원청 교육장 등 총 13명이 참석하였으며, 경상북도의 마리나 산업 활성화를 위한 실효성 있는 정책 마련과 후포마리나의 행·재정적 지원 방안 등을 논의했다.

특히, 협약에 앞서 동해중부선과 연계한 요트, 레프팅 등 다양한 해양레저 프로그램을 관광상품으로 개발하여 지역 경제를 활성화하고, 청소년 해양레저 교육과 교과 연계과정 협력활동 지원을 위한 기관 간 공동사업 운영 방안도 논의하였다.

이와 함께 울진군 초·중·고교 학생들의 요트 교육을 활성화하기 위한 지원 방안을 강구해 미래 해양 인재 양성을 위한 교육환경 조성에 힘쓰기로 했다.

정상원 해양수산국장은“후포마리나가 동해안의 대표적인 해양레저 거점으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 실효성 있는 정책을 마련하고, 지속적인 행·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”라고 밝혔다.

황석수 울진교육지원청 교육장은 "학생들에게 다양한 해양레저 체험 기회를 제공하고, 해양 교육이 활성화될 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.

박세은 울진군 부군수는“울진군은 해양레저 산업의 발전 가능성이 높은 지역으로, 이번 협력을 계기로 해양관광과 교육 분야에서 새로운 도약을 이루길 바란다”며“관계 기관과 긴밀히 협력해 지역 발전을 위한 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”라고 말했다.
