iM뱅크에 따르면 ‘한국형 녹색분류체계 적합성 평가지원 업무협약’은 녹색 경제활동 영위기업을 대상으로 원활한 금융 활동을 위한 지원을 진행해 녹색금융의 점진적 확산을 위한 목적으로 마련되었다.

친환경 사업을 영위 중인 중소기업이 신용보증기금에 보증신청을 하면 신용보증기금은 보증서와 함께 ‘녹색여신 인증서’를 발급하고, iM뱅크는 해당 보증서를 담보로 우대금리를 적용하여 대출을 취급하는 형식이다.

해당 대상 기업으로는 온실가스 감축 성과가 있거나 예상되는 신재생에너지 발전기업, 신재생에너지 산업기업, 자체감축기업, 외부감축기업 등이며, 신용보증기금의 보증심사와 한국형 녹색분류체계 적합성 평가를 거쳐 iM뱅크의 대출 지원을 받을 수 있다.

iM뱅크는 ‘한국형 녹색분류체계 적합성 평가지원 업무협약’을 통해 신용보증기금과 연대하여 녹색 경제활동으로 판별되는 사업자금에 대한 우대 금융을 지원, 기후 위기 극복을 위한 민간차원의 대응에 앞장선다는 방침이다.

황병우 은행장은 “iM뱅크는 다양한 유관기관과의 협업을 통해 녹색금융 지원에 힘쓰겠으며, ESG경영을 적극실천해 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하겠다”는 뜻을 전했다.

iM Bank (iM Bank, CEO Hwang Byung-woo) signed a ‘Korean Green Classification System Conformity Assessment Support Business Agreement’ with Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (Chairman Choi Won-mok) on the 13th.

According to iM Bank, the ‘Korean Green Classification System Conformity Assessment Support Business Agreement’ was prepared for the purpose of providing support for smooth financial activities for green economic activity companies and gradually expanding green finance.

When a small and medium-sized enterprise conducting an eco-friendly business applies for a guarantee to the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund issues a ‘Green Credit Certificate’ along with a guarantee, and iM Bank handles a loan by applying a preferential interest rate using the guarantee as collateral.

The target companies include renewable energy power generation companies, renewable energy industrial companies, self-reduction companies, and external reduction companies that have or are expected to reduce greenhouse gases, and can receive loan support from iM Bank after going through the credit guarantee fund’s guarantee review and the Korean Green Classification System conformity assessment.

iM Bank plans to take the lead in private-sector response to overcoming the climate crisis by supporting preferential financing for business funds determined to be green economic activities in cooperation with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund through the ‘Korean Green Classification System Conformity Assessment Support Business Agreement.’
