 효율적인 사업추진을 위한 기반 구축 

예천군은 2021년부터 환경관리과에서 상하수도 업무를 분리하여 관리팀, 상수도팀, 하수도팀, 3개팀 14명의 직원으로 맑은물사업소를 신설하여 별도 조직으로 운영하고 있다.

상하수도 사업비를 투명하고 효율적으로 집행하기 위해 67억원의 일반회계와 별도로 지방공기업법에 따라 244억원의 상수도사업특별회계와 336억원의 하수도사업특별회계로 나누어 각각 편성, 계약부터 지출까지 모든 분야를 사업소에서 직접 집행하는 지출 시스템 구축을 완료하여 운영하고 있다.

 질 좋은 물을 안정적으로 공급하기 위한 지방상수도 급수지역 확대 

예천군은 현재 일일 10,800톤을 취수할 수 있는 예천정수장과 1,900톤을 취수하는 풍양정수장, 2개의 지방상수도를 운영하고 있으며, 도청 신도시가 조성되면서 안동에서 광역상수도 7,000톤을 공급받아 총 19,700톤으로 군민의 92.6%인 51,100명에게 양질의 수돗물을 공급하고 있다.

또한, 지방상수도 미급수지역에는 소규모 수도시설 104개소를 설치해 관리중이며, 이를 통해 주민들의 보건 위생환경에 최선을 다하고 있다.

2025년에는 양질의 수돗물 공급과 상수도 보급률 향상을 위해 예천상수도 효자, 은풍 급수구역 확장 사업에 40억원을 투입하고 노후 상수도관망 정비사업에 51억 원, 원·정수 구입비 28억 원, 지방상수도 운영효율화사업 67억 원, 그 외 풍양정수장 여과지 개량사업과 낙후지역 먹는물 개선사업 등 총 293억 원의 사업비를 투입하게 된다.

 쾌적한 주거환경 조성을 위한 하수도 보급률 확대 

군은 2005년부터 가동하고 있는 일일 7,500톤 처리 규모의 예천공공하수처리장과 500톤 규모의 읍부하수처리장, 2,768톤을 처리하는 마을하수처리장 44개소 등 하수처리장 총 46개소 10,768톤으로 현재 가정에서 배출되는 하수 70%를 처리하고 있고, 일일 50톤 처리하는 분뇨처리장과 80톤을 처리하는 가축분뇨 처리장을 운영하고 있다.

특히, 금년도에는 예천1배수분구 도시침수 예방사업에 36억, 지보 농어촌마을 하수도 정비사업에 50억, 유천처리구역외 하수관로 정비사업에 70억, 지보 한대마을 하수처리시설 개체공사에 29억을 투입하며, 46개소 하수처리시설 위탁 운영에 62억원을 투입하는 등 총 354억원을 투입하게 된다.

김동태 맑은물사업소장은 “양질의 수돗물을 보다 더 많은 군민들에게 공급하고, 쾌적한 주거환경을 조성하기 위해 하수도 보급률을 높이는데 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
