【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=홍준표 시장이 명태균씨의 법률 변호인인 남상권 변호사를 창원지검에 고발했다. 

17일, 홍 시장측에 따르면 명태균의 변호를 맡고 있는 남상권 변호사는 지난 13일 MBC라디오 ‘김종배의 시선집중’에 출연해 ‘홍준표 시장이 2014년 경남지사 선거 과정에서 지인들로부터 20억 원을 빌리고, 법정한도를 초과하여 선거비용을 지출했다’며 고 주장했다며  남 변호사를 창원지검에 고발했다고 밝혔다.

홍 시장측은 “남상권 변호사의 주장은 모두 허위”라며 다만 “선거비용 중 일부를 차용했으며, 당선 후 선거비용을 보전받아 차용한 채무를 즉시 전액 변제했다”고 밝혔다. 이어 “선거비용을 차용해 조달하는 방식은 일반적으로 사용되는 방식이고 공직선거법상으로도 아무런 문제가 되지 않는다”고 강조했다.

홍시장 측은 그러면서 “남상권 변호사와 명태균은 언론 인터뷰를 통해 지속적으로 홍준표 시장에 대한 허위 주장을 하고 있다”고 거듭 강조하고 “윤석열 대통령에 대한 탄핵결정이 가까워지자 여당 유력 후보인 홍준표 시장에 타격을 주고자 하는 목적으로 허위 주장을 하고 있는 것 이라 판단했다.”고 덧붙였다. 

한편, 명태균과 홍 시장 관련은 이미 지난 해 12월과 올해 2월 홍준표 시장 비서실장이ㅍ두 차례 남상권 변호사와 명태균을 고발한 바 있다.

Mayor Hong Joon-pyo filed a complaint against attorney Nam Sang-kwon, Myeong Tae-gyun’s legal representative, at the Changwon District Prosecutors’ Office on the 17th.

According to Mayor Hong, attorney Nam Sang-kwon, who is representing Myeong Tae-gyun, is known to have appeared on MBC Radio’s “Kim Jong-bae’s Focus” on the 13th and claimed that “Mayor Hong Joon-pyo borrowed 2 billion won from acquaintances during the 2014 Gyeongnam gubernatorial election and spent election expenses exceeding the legal limit.”

Mayor Hong’s side stated on the 17th, “Attorney Nam Sang-kwon’s claims are all false,” and “He borrowed some of the election expenses, and after being elected, he received compensation for the election expenses and immediately paid off the entire debt he borrowed.” He continued to emphasize, “The method of borrowing election expenses is a commonly used method and there is no problem under the Public Official Election Act.”

The Hong market side repeatedly emphasized that “Attorney Nam Sang-kwon and Myeong Tae-gyun have continuously made false claims about Mayor Hong Joon-pyo through media interviews,” and judged that “as the impeachment decision against President Yoon Seok-yeol approaches, they are making false claims with the purpose of damaging Mayor Hong Joon-pyo, the leading candidate of the ruling party.”

Meanwhile, in relation to Myeong Tae-gyun and Mayor Hong, Mayor Hong Joon-pyo’s chief of staff had already filed a complaint against Attorney Nam Sang-kwon and Myeong Tae-gyun twice in December of last year and February of this year.
