브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 정부여당이 17일 '대전 초등학생 피살 사건' 대응 방안 중 하나로 교내 사각지대에 CCTV 설치 확대를 추진한다.

당정은 이날 국회에서 '학교 안전 강화를 위한 협의회'를 열고 지난 10일 발생한 대전 초등학생 피살 사건 관련 대응 방안을 논의했다. 회의에는 권성동 국민의힘 원내대표, 이주호 사회부총리 겸 교육부 장관, 서울지역 초등학생 저학년 학부모 10명 등이 참석했다.

국민의힘은 회의를 마친 뒤 결과 브리핑을 통해 "신학기를 앞둔 학부모들의 불안과 우려를 해소하기 위해 늘봄학교에 참여하는 초 1·2 학생 대상 '대면 인계, 동행 귀가' 원칙을 확립했다"라며 "이를 위해 학내 사각지대 CCTV의 설치 확대에 공감했다"라고 전했다.

CCTV 설치 장소는 '늦은 시간 학생 이동이 많은 복도·계단 및 돌봄교실 주변 중심'이 될 계획이며, 필요시 학내 중요 장소에도 추가 설치할 수 있도록 법령 개정 가능성도 검토한다는 입장이다.

또, 정신질환으로 인해 조치된 교원에 대해서는 치료를 통한 정상적인 복귀를 지원하고, 전체 교원에 대해서도 정례적인 마음 건강 자가 진단 실시 및 상담과 심리 치료를 지원할 방침이다.
