축제의 시그니처 프로그램인 대게 낚시가 더욱 알차게 준비되었으며, 새롭게 신설된 대게 통발잡이 체험도 주목을 받고 있다. 통발잡이 프로그램은 참가자가 꼬여 있는 통발 줄을 당겨 대게를 잡는 방식으로, 운이 좋으면 영덕대게 외에도 지역 특산품을 덤으로 얻을 수 있는 재미있는 게임이다. 이는 새로운 축제의 마스코트 프로그램으로 추진위가 야심 차게 준비한 프로그램이다.
