【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 ‘생태전환교육 실천학교’를 160교로 확대 운영한다고 27일 밝혔다.

‘생태전환교육 실천학교’는 자연과 인간의 지속적인 공존을 위해 행동의 변화, 삶의 변화를 교육하고 실천하는 학교를 말한다.

올해는 지난해 대비 15교 늘어난 160개 학교가 학생과 학교가 자발적으로 기후위기에 대응하고 지속가능한 삶을 위한 환경교육 프로그램을 운영한다.

이들 학교에서는 ‘대구녹색학습원’이 개발한 기후변화환경교육 교재‘현장에 바로 쓰이는 환경․교과 융합수업’, ‘실천을 이끄는 탄소중립융합수업’을 활용한 환경수업을 운영하게 된다. 

또한 실천 가능한 ‘1교 1특색 환경 실천과제’를 선정해 연간 운영하고, 환경교육주간에는 학생들의 환경감수성 함양을 위한 환경수업 및 특색 있는 행사를 추진한다. 

‘환경교육 실천지원단’을 기존 20명에서 25명으로 확대 운영하고 연말에는‘환경교육 성과나눔 공유회’를 개최할 예정이다.

강은희 교육감은 “우리 학생들이 기후위기에 대응하고 지속가능한 미래 준비를 위한 실천 역량을 강화할 수 있는 다양한 환경교육을 추진해 나갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 27th that it will expand the operation of ‘Ecological Transition Education Practice Schools’ to 160 schools.

In addition, ‘1 School 1 Characteristic Environmental Practice Tasks’ that can be implemented will be selected and operated annually, and environmental classes and unique events will be promoted to foster students’ environmental sensitivity during the Environmental Education Week.

The ‘Environmental Education Implementation Support Team’ will be expanded from 20 to 25 members and an ‘Environmental Education Achievement Sharing Meeting’ will be held at the end of the year.

Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, “We will do our best to promote various environmental education programs that can strengthen our students’ practical capabilities to respond to the climate crisis and prepare for a sustainable future.”
