또한 “홍 시장은 명태균을 만난 적 없다고 항변했지만 두 사람이 함께 참석한 행사 인증샷이 줄줄이 올라오고 있다”며 “내놓는 해명마다 족족 거짓으로 확인되고 있다”고 꼬집었다.

그러면서 “불법부정행위, 명태균과의 유착설, 여론조사 의뢰 및 비용 대납 의혹 등이 조금도 풀리지 않았지만 홍 시장은 대선 도전 의사를 굽히지 않고 있다”며 "뻔뻔하고 파렴치하다"고 말했다.

이들은 "홍 시장은 대구시민의 안녕을 위해서라도 즉각 사퇴하고 검찰 수사대로 향함이 마땅하다”고 강조했다.
