【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도는 17일 영주 선비세상 컨벤션홀에서 ‘2025년도 물관리 업무 시책 회의’를 개최하고, 도와 시군 간의 물관리 업무 방향을 공유하며 도민이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 풍요롭고 안전한 맑은 물 정책을 실현하기 위한 구체적인 계획을 논의했다.

이번 회의에는 도와 22개 시군의 상하수도 및 수질관리 업무 담당 과장 등 100여 명이 참석하여, 2025년도 물관리 업무 추진 방향과 기후 위기로 인한 상하수도 재난 대처 방안, 환경 사고 발생 시 신속한 대응 방안 등 다양한 당면 과제를 논의했다.

2025년도 주요 시책은 도민이 안전하게 이용할 수 있는 맑은 물 정책 실현을 목표로 설정됐다. 물 산업 정책 분야에서는 도내 수출 가능성이 높은 물 기업을 육성하기 위해 맞춤형 수출지원, 해외 마케팅 지원, 물 기업 연구·개발 역량 강화 등의 지원 방안을 추진할 예정이다.

수질관리 분야에서는 녹조 발생 억제와 환경오염 사고 발생 시 신속한 대응을 위한 체계를 마련하며, 산업단지 완충 저류시설 설치, 비점오염 저감사업, 하천 쓰레기 정화 사업 등 환경 보호 활동도 중점적으로 추진된다.

상수도 분야에서는 일상화된 기후 위기로 인한 상수도시설의 피해와 단수 사고 위험성을 예방하기 위해 취수장 및 정수장의 시설을 보강하고, 자연 재난에 대비한 기후변화 대응 물관리 체계를 구축할 계획이다.

하수도 분야에서는 안정적인 생활하수 처리를 위한 하수처리시설 및 관로 정비 사업을 추진하며, 바이오가스 생산 목표제를 통해 기후 위기 대응을 위한 온실가스 감축에도 힘쓸 예정이다.

강병정 경상북도 맑은물정책과장은 "올해 물 관련 예산이 지난해보다 1,780억원이 증가한 1조 1,119억원으로, 어려운 경제 상황 속에서도 많은 예산을 확보했다"며 "이 예산을 신속하게 집행해 지역 경제를 살리고, 맑은 물의 안정적 공급을 통해 도민의 물복지 향상과 안전을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
