노기섭 청장은 취임 소감을 통해 “역사와 문화의 중심지인 대구와 경북의 우정사업을 책임지는 청장에 부임하게 되어 큰 영광”이라며, “안전하고 건강한 근무환경을 조성하고 유연하고 수평적인 조직문화를 정착시켜 국민에게 최고의 우정서비스를 제공하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

노기섭 신임 청장은 7급 공채로 경북지방우정청에서 공직을 시작했으며, 이후 정보통신부 법무담당관실, 미래창조과학부 장관정책보좌관실, 광화문우체국장, 우정사업본부 홍보협력담당관, 우정사업본부 운영지원과장 등 다양한 보직을 거쳤다.

앞으로 노기섭 청장은 대구와 경북 지역에 있는 370여 개 우체국을 이끌며, 5,000여 명의 직원과 함께 우정사업에 활력을 불어넣고 경쟁력을 강화하는 중요한 역할을 맡게 된다.
