【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구경북경제자유구역청(청장 김병삼)은 지난 3월 20일, 대경경자청에서 중국 창춘시무역촉진위원회 천더즈 회장 및 의료기업 관계자들과 만나 양 지역 간 의료 및 바이오산업 협력 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.

창춘시무역촉진위원회는 중국국제무역촉진위원회(CCPIT)의 지방 조직으로, 창춘 지역의 주요 산업 관련 무역 및 투자 촉진을 담당하고 있다. 

또한, 중국 기업의 해외 진출을 지원하고, 외국 기업의 중국 시장 진입을 돕는 역할을 하며, 국제 무역 박람회와 비즈니스 포럼을 주최하는 등 활발한 국제 교류 활동을 벌이고 있다. 

특히, ‘창춘국제의료건강산업박람회’와 ‘창춘국제자동차박람회’를 매년 주관하는 등 중요한 산업 행사들을 이끌고 있다.

창춘시는 최근 바이오·의약 분야에서 정부 차원의 강력한 육성 정책을 추진 중이며, 대구경북경제자유구역청은 이를 바탕으로 바이오·의약 산업 전시회에 적극적으로 참여하며 중국 기업들의 유치를 위한 투자 활동을 이어가고 있다. 양 지역 간의 투자 협력을 증진시키기 위한 다양한 논의가 이어졌다.

Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority Discusses Strengthening Medical and Bio-industry Cooperation with Changchun City, China

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (Director Kim Byung-sam) announced that on March 20, it met with Chairman Chen Dezhi of the Changchun City Trade Promotion Committee and medical industry officials at the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority to discuss cooperation in the medical and bio-industry between the two regions.

The Changchun City Trade Promotion Committee is a local organization of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and is responsible for promoting trade and investment related to major industries in the Changchun region.

It also supports Chinese companies’ overseas expansion, assists foreign companies’ entry into the Chinese market, and actively engages in international exchange activities such as hosting international trade fairs and business forums.

In particular, it leads important industrial events such as hosting the ‘Changchun International Medical and Health Industry Expo’ and the ‘Changchun International Automobile Expo’ every year.

Changchun City has recently been promoting a strong government-level fostering policy in the bio-pharmaceutical sector, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority has been actively participating in bio-pharmaceutical industry exhibitions and continuing investment activities to attract Chinese companies based on this. Various discussions have been held to promote investment cooperation between the two regions.

Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority Commissioner Kim Byeong-sam said, “Amid the changes in US-China relations, interest in the Korean market among Chinese companies is increasing, and I would like to express my gratitude to Chairman Chen Dezhi of the Changchun City Trade Promotion Committee and medical industry officials for their visit,” and added, “We will continue to work to strengthen cooperation between the two regions in the future.”
