개정안이 본회의를 통과함에 따라 경북여성정책개발원의 기능이 여성정책 연구에서 여성·가족·아동 정책 전반으로 확대되고, 저출생 극복 지원 체계가 강화될 것으로 기대된다.
도기욱 의원은 “여성정책개발원이 단순한 연구기관을 넘어 사회적 요구에 부응하는 실질적인 정책 개발과 사업을 발굴하는 기관으로 거듭나기를 기대한다”밝혔다.
