【브레이크뉴스 경북 】이성현 기자=경상북도의회(의장 박성만)는 27일 산불 피해를 입은 의성·안동·청송·영양·영덕 지역에 사회복지공동모금회를 통해 총 1천만원 상당의 긴급 구호물품을 전달했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 긴급 구호물품 전달은 3월 26일 10시에 도의회에서 개최된 의장단·상임위원장·부위원장 긴급 연석회의 결정에 따라 이뤄진 것으로, 박성만 의장은 또 아직까지 지원되지 않고 있는 대한민국시도의회의장협의회의 재난구호금에 대한 조속한 지원을 강력 요청했다. 

경상북도의회는 이러한 긴급 지원 외에도 산불 피해의 신속한 복구를 위한 추가 지원 대책을 마련하고, 관련 예산 확보에도 적극적으로 나설 계획이다.

박 의장을 비롯한 도의회 소속 의원들은 26일 청송군과 영양군을 방문한 데 이어 27일에는 영덕군을 찾아 산불 진화 관계자들을 격려하고 대피소 점검과 이재민들의 애로를 청취했다. 

한편, 경북 북부지역을 중심으로 1주일여 지속되는 경북 최악의 산불 피해 현장에서 일부 도의원이 산불진화본부 앞에서 다른 도의원들과 마치 기념사진을 찍은 듯, 자신의 SNS에 올리는 등 정치적 홍보 수단으로 활용했다는 의혹으로 논란을 빚고 있다.

국민의힘 소속 S 의원은 26일 의성산불지원단 본부 앞에서 함께 간 도의원들과 함께 찍은 사진을 자신의 페이스북에 올리면서 “밤새 진화를 해도 다음 날까지 거세게 이어지는 산불을 보며 말문이 막혀 뭐라 할 말이 없다”며 현장 방문 사실을 전했다.

이 내용을 본 누리꾼들이 해당 정치인에 대하여 강력 질타에 나섰고, 해당 의원은 한 언론사의 질의에 “잘못된 행동이 맞다. 앞으로는 이런 일이 없도록 하겠다”고 솔직하게 인정한 뒤, 해당 내용을 SNS에서 내렸다.

그럼에도 불구하고 지역 정치권 내부에서는 “아직도 이런 지방 의원들이 있기 때문에 지방의회의 역할이 날로 저하되고 지방의원들이 떼로 욕을 먹는 것”이라는 비판이 이어지고 있다.

Meanwhile, some provincial assembly members are embroiled in controversy over the suspicion that they took commemorative photos with other provincial assembly members in front of the forest fire fighting headquarters and used them as political propaganda tools by posting them on their SNS, at the site of the worst forest fire in Gyeongbuk that has been continuing for about a week, mainly in the northern part of Gyeongbuk.

On the 26th, S, a member of the People Power Party, posted a photo taken with other provincial assembly members in front of the Uiseong Forest Fire Support Team headquarters on his Facebook, saying, “I am speechless and have nothing to say as I see the forest fire continuing to rage the next day even after fighting it all night.”

Netizens who saw this content strongly criticized the politician in question, and the member honestly admitted, “It was wrong behavior. I will make sure this doesn’t happen again,” in response to a question from a media outlet, and then removed the content from SNS.

Nevertheless, criticism continues within the local political circles, saying, “Because there are still such local members, the role of local councils is deteriorating day by day, and local members are being criticized in droves.”
