이번 상황실은 박성수 경상북도 안전행정실장을 상황실장으로 하여, 선거업무를 담당하는 공무원 등 총 9명으로 구성된다. 이들은 선거 기간 동안 경북 22개 시군에 대한 법정 선거사무 지원과 함께, 경북선거관리위원회·경북경찰청 등 유관기관과 협력체계를 구축해 선거관리 전반을 지원할 예정이다.

특히, 상황실은 개소와 동시에 선거 관련 주요 동향 및 사건·사고 현황을 실시간 파악하고, 관련 기관들과 긴밀히 소통하여 신속 대응체계를 가동한다.
