【브레이크뉴스 영천】이성현 기자=영천시의회(의장 김선태)는 4월 21일부터 5월 1일까지 11일간의 일정으로 제245회 임시회를 개회하고 본격적인 의정활동에 들어갔다.

이번 임시회 첫날 열린 제1차 본회의에서는 배수예 의원이 5분 자유발언을 통해 ‘마현산근린공원 조성 사업’ 지연에 따른 행정 미숙 문제를 지적했다.

배 의원은 “공원조성 사업의 실시계획 변경 고시 과정에서 행정적 실수가 발생해 고시 일자가 사업기간 만료일을 8일 초과했고, 이로 인해 토지보상법상 사업인정이 무효화되었다”며 “행정의 부실한 업무 검토가 절차적 정당성을 훼손하고, 결과적으로 시민들이 이용할 공간 조성이 늦어지는 상황을 초래했다”고 강조했다. 이어 “시민의 신뢰를 회복하기 위해서는 철저한 재발 방지 대책이 필요하다”고 목소리를 높였다.

이날 본회의에서는 또 ‘2025년도 제1회 추가경정예산안’ 심사를 위한 예산결산특별위원회 구성안도 처리됐다. 예결특위 위원장으로는 하기태 의원이 선출됐다.

이번 임시회 기간 중 시의회는 4월 22일부터 29일까지 8일간 상임위원회 활동을 통해 주요 사업장에 대한 현장 방문, 추가경정예산 예비심사, 조례안 및 각종 안건을 검토할 예정이다. 이후 4월 30일에는 예산결산특별위원회가 종합심사를 진행하며, 5월 1일 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 회기를 마무리할 계획이다.

김선태 의장은 “의원 여러분께서는 조례안 및 추경안 심의에 각별한 책임감을 가지고 임해 주시고, 집행부는 성실한 자료 제출과 설명을 통해 회기 운영에 적극 협조해 주시길 바란다”고 당부했다.
