이 불로 대구IC 진출입로와 조야교(남단,북단),노곡교 북단, 무태 -조야교, 산격대교 북단이 통제 중이며, 시내버스 356, 403번 대구지식산업센터앞 정거장은 우회 운행중이다.이 불로 인근 주민 899가구 1200여명이 대피한 상태지만, 불이 확산되면서 추가 대피가 있을 것으로 전망된다.
북구청은 조야초등학교에 지휘 본부를 꾸리고 214명의 산불진화요원 및 69대의 장비를 투입해 진화에 나서고 있다. 특히, 김천, 성주,청도 등에서 23대의 헬기가 동원됐다.
