대구경찰청은 불법금융 범죄에 대한 단속과 피해자 보호 수사를 전담하고, 법률구조공단은 피해 소상공인을 위한 무료 법률상담과 필요 시 소송까지 지원한다.

세 기관은 실무진 중심의 협의체를 구성하여 정기 간담회, 피해사례 공유, 사후 지원 방안 마련 등을 통해 협약의 실효성을 높이고, 향후 전국적으로 확산 가능한 지역 협력 모델로 발전시켜 나갈 계획이다.

또한 재단은 지역사회 인식 개선을 위한 SNS 홍보, 예방 교육 콘텐츠 제작, 불법금융 피해 사례 교육 등 지역 밀착형 예방 캠페인도 적극 전개할 방침이다.

박판근 법률구조공단 대구지부장은 “법의 사각지대에 놓인 이들을 돕는 것이 공단의 존재 이유”라며 “이번 협약은 지역 내 경제적 약자인 소상공인에게 실질적인 법적 보호를 제공할 수 있는 뜻깊은 출발점”이라고 말했다.
