또한 고령군 가축방역대책본부는 농가의 방역 의식 제고와 예방관리 강화를 위해 대규모 전업농가를 특별관리 대상으로 지정하고 전담 공무원을 배치했다. 이를 통해 방역 준수 여부와 질병 발생 여부를 상시 점검하고 있으며, 가축 입식 전·후에는 양계 전문 수의사가 농장을 직접 방문해 육안검사 및 현장 시료 분석을 실시하는 등 실시간 방역 체계를 구축하고 있다.
