이번 조치는 농어촌진흥기금 상환 대상자 가운데 미성년 자녀를 포함해 두 자녀 이상을 양육 중인 농어가를 지원 대상으로 한다. 기존 1% 금리보다 낮은 우대금리가 적용되며, 두 자녀 농어가는 0.7%, 세 자녀 이상은 0.5%의 금리가 적용된다. 최대 0.5%포인트의 금리 인하 혜택을 받게 되는 셈이다.

신청 기간은 오는 20일까지이며, 해당 농어가는 주소지 또는 사업장 소재지의 읍·면·동 행정복지센터나 시·군 관련 부서를 방문해 신청서를 제출하면 된다.

도는 11월 말까지 시·군별 다자녀 농어가 명단을 확정한 뒤, 농어가가 이자 1%를 선납하면 12월 말 농·수협을 통해 우대금리 차액을 일괄 환급할 계획이다.

김병기 경북도 농업대전환과장은 “이번 이자 감면이 다자녀 농어가의 가계 부담을 덜고, 자녀 양육과 농업 경영을 병행하는 데 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 농어촌진흥기금을 적극 활용해 안정적 농어촌 정착과 모두가 행복한 농어촌 실현에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
