포항시는 먼저 ‘2025년 경상북도 수산행정 시군평가’에서 어업부문 기관표창을 수상했다. 이번 평가는 도내 연안 5개 시·군을 대상으로 어선어업, 양식어업, 유통·가공, 어업대전환 추진 실적 등을 종합적으로 심사했으며, 포항시는 어업인 소득 증대, 어선 안전관리, 준법어업 정착, 친환경 양식 기반 구축 등에서 우수한 성과를 인정받았다.

특히 수산정책과 장태호 주무관은 4차 산업 기반 스마트 기술을 접목한 연어 스마트양식 클러스터 조성에 기여한 공로로 어업대전환 부문 개인표창을 받았다. 장 주무관은 시상금 200만 원 전액을 포항시 장학회에 기탁하며 지역 인재 양성에 뜻을 보탰다.

또한 포항시는 ‘2025년 경상북도 지적행정업무 추진실적 종합평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 도내 22개 시·군을 대상으로 실시된 이번 평가는 지적민원 현장방문제 운영, 토지이동 처리 및 지적측량 검사, 지적기준점 관리, 부동산종합공부시스템 자료 정비 등 14개 분야를 서면·현지조사를 병행해 진행했다. 포항시는 주민 불편 해소와 행정 효율성 제고를 위한 체계적인 지적행정 추진 노력이 높은 평가를 받았다.

이와 함께 ‘2025년 경북도 평생교육 시책평가’에서는 최고 등급인 대상을 수상하며 평생학습도시로서의 위상을 공고히 했다. 평가는 평생학습체계 구축, 도민대학 운영, 우수 시책 추진, 평생교육 이용권 운영 등 4개 영역을 중심으로 이뤄졌으며, 포항시는 경북도 평생학습박람회 개최, 평생교육 컨퍼런스 운영, 29개 읍·면·동 평생학습센터 활성화 등의 성과를 인정받았다. 시는 2013년 이후 13차례 평가 중 10차례 수상이라는 성과도 이어가고 있다.

아울러 ‘2025년 경상북도 지방세정 종합평가’에서도 특별상을 수상했다. 경북도는 지방세 징수 실적과 체납세 정리 등 세정 업무 전반을 종합 평가했으며, 포항시는 체계적이고 효율적인 징수 활동과 공평과세 실현을 위한 선제적 체납처분 추진 노력을 높이 평가받았다. 포항시 세무직 직원들은 특별상 시상금 250만 원 전액을 포항시 장학회에 기탁하며 지역 인재 육성에 힘을 보탰다.
