【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교(총장 박순진)가 교육부와 한국과학창의재단이 주관하는 ‘2025년 교육기부 우수기관 인증제’에서 인증을 갱신하며 교육기부 선도 대학으로서의 위상을 다시 한번 입증했다.

이번 인증 갱신은 지난 2022년에 이어 연속으로 이뤄진 성과로, 대구대가 지속적으로 추진해 온 교육기부 활동의 체계성과 우수성을 공식적으로 인정받은 결과다.

‘교육기부 우수기관 인증제’는 교육기부 프로그램 운영 성과를 비롯해 지역사회 연계 활동, 교육기부 문화 확산 기여도 등을 종합적으로 평가해 우수 기관을 선정하는 제도다. 대구대는 이번 평가에서 다양한 교육기부 프로그램의 안정적 운영과 지역사회와의 긴밀한 협력 체계를 높이 평가받았다.

앞서 대구대는 2019년 교육기부 명예의 전당 헌액과 2021년 대한민국 교육기부대상 수상 등 교육부로부터 교육기부 공로를 여러 차례 인정받아 왔다. 2022년 인증제 평가를 통해 3년간 우수기관 자격을 유지해 온 데 이어, 이번 연속 인증으로 2026년부터 2028년까지 향후 3년간 인증 자격을 이어가게 됐다.

이와 함께 대구대학교 사범대학 교육봉사 동아리 ‘늘품’은 청소년 성장 지원과 교육기부 문화 확산에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 ‘2025 대한민국 교육기부대상’을 수상했다. ‘늘품’은 교육 기회가 상대적으로 부족한 농촌 및 산간 지역 청소년을 대상으로 지속적인 교육봉사 활동을 펼쳐온 점이 높이 평가돼 교육부장관 표창을 받았다.

박순진 대구대학교 총장은 “이번 인증 갱신은 대학의 교육 자원을 지역사회와 나누며 체계적인 교육 환경 구현에 기여해 온 노력의 결실”이라며 “앞으로도 지역과 동행하는 교육기부 활동을 확대해 대학의 사회적 가치를 더욱 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu University Renews Certification as "Excellent Educational Donation Institution"… Reaffirming its Position as a Leading University in Educational Donation

Daegu University (President Park Soon-jin) has renewed its certification in the "2025 Educational Donation Institution Certification Program," hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. This renewal marks the second consecutive year of certification since 2022, officially recognizing the systematic and excellent educational donation activities Daegu University has consistently pursued.

The "Excellent Educational Donation Institution Certification Program" comprehensively evaluates the performance of educational donation programs, community engagement activities, and contributions to the spread of educational donation culture to select outstanding institutions. Daegu University received high marks for its stable operation of various educational donation programs and its close collaboration with the local community.

Daegu University has previously been recognized for its contributions to education by the Ministry of Education, including induction into the Education Donation Hall of Fame in 2019 and winning the Korea Education Donation Award in 2021. Following its three-year accreditation through the 2022 accreditation system, Daegu University will maintain its accreditation status for another three years, from 2026 to 2028.

Furthermore, the Daegu University College of Education's educational volunteer club, "Neulpum," was awarded the "2025 Korea Education Donation Award" in recognition of its contributions to supporting youth development and promoting a culture of educational donation. "Neulpum" received a commendation from the Minister of Education for its ongoing educational volunteer work targeting youth in rural and mountainous areas, where educational opportunities are relatively limited.

Daegu University President Park Soon-jin said, “This certification renewal is the result of our efforts to share our educational resources with the local community and contribute to creating a systematic educational environment,” adding, “We will continue to expand our educational donation activities that work alongside the local community to further strengthen our university’s social value.”
